The masterclass is open to participants with period instruments (a = 415 Hz) as well as those with modern setups (a = 440 Hz). The course objective is an in-depth study of Johann Sebastian Bach’s music, with a specific focus on style, articulation, historical performance practice, and ensemble work.
The masterclass is limited to a maximum of 6 active participants per instrument. Selection will be based on a video application.
Instrumentalists with modern setup: Individual lessons.
Instrumentalists with gut-string setup: Individual lessons and the chamber music ensemble (Anton Steck Conductor).
Auditors (passive participation) are admitted without selction
Final concert May 5, 2026 in Bruneck as part of the 2026 concert series ‘Im Zeichen Bachs’

Applicants interested in performing the solo parts are requested to send a video of the first movement of the respective concerto.
