DESCRIPTION
Romantic Dream is a new orchestral project by Bruneck Cordia Academy, dedicated to Early Romantic music on period instruments and addressed to young instrumentalists.
Selected candidates will be chosen through a video-audio audition and will take part in advanced orchestral training on original instruments or historical copies, with a special focus on historically informed performance practice. Participants will be coached by tutors throughout the orchestral preparation, with particular attention to style, articulation, and phrasing.
PARTICIPATION
The project is open to musicians who specialize in, or have a strong interest in Early Romantic repertoire and performance on period instruments. Admission is by video audition.
SCHOLARSHIP
Each selected participant will receive a scholarship of EUR 700 before tax. Accommodation, including breakfast, will be covered for the duration of the project.

Historical instruments required, preferably copies of German instruments, not modern instrument.

• excerpts from Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 “Italian” Orchestral Excerpts
• a short piece of choice from the Romantic or Early Romantic repertoire.
